About Us

Founded in 2012 by the CEO and President, Felisha Lawrence; the Lawrence Virtual Assistance brand really flourished in 2020 at the height of the eye-opening COVID-19 Pandemic which drastically changed the way we as a society participated in Capitalism. Many businesses were not ready, nor equipped, to completely change the way that they conducted business to accommodate for social distancing. LVA eagerly and ambitiously stepped up to the plate to provide innovative business operation solutions to professionals nationwide. LVA takes pride in being the only Virtual Assistance Firm that focuses specifically on small and Black-Owned businesses. This means that we tailor our services to meet the needs of everyday people who just don’t have the time to do the small and nuanced things that make up the operations of a business. During the pandemic, we saw an influx of individuals turn side hustles and hobbies into businesses which prompted our quick response. No matter what phase your business is in, or what stage you’re at in life, our Virtual Assistants will meet you where you’re at to fit into YOUR schedule - Sweet! Our clients enjoy big business results on a small business budget.

Meet The CEO

Known as a Jack-of-All-Trades, Felisha Lawrence was raised in Richmond, VA where she spent most of her childhood. As a life-long scholar, Felisha always excelled in academia. Her instructors immediately saw the potential in her at an early age . Upon graduating from Highland Springs High School in 2012, Felisha began her higher education endeavors at James Madison University where she completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Anthropology with a minor in Criminal Justice and Pre-Law in 2019. She spent a majority of her spare time on campus advocating and actively seeking solutions for Black and Brown students on a predominantly white campus through organizations such as the JMU Chapter of NAACP and the Black Student Alliance. After leaving an impressionable mark on her alma mater, Felisha moved to Newark, DE to attend Wilmington University. In 2021, she graduated with a Masters of Science Degree in Administration of Justice with a concentration in Criminal Behavior.

Deeply passionate about social justice and the implications of systemic injustices on Black and Brown communities, Felisha’s professional work has always been rooted in helping the people who cannot help or speak up for themselves. Felisha has worked for Fortune 500 companies at an early age in sectors such as Finance, Education, Housing, and Law. Retaining valuable knowledge from top business leaders, Felisha turned her skillset into a profitable business that helps everyone succeed. She currently does policy, compliance, and grant work for a non-profit organization servicing individuals that are experiencing a housing crisis. Never shying away from difficult and uncomfortable conversations, Felisha is a fearless leader paving the way for other Black Girls who were always considered “too vocal” and also struggled with others trying to silence them. Felisha encourages everyone she meets to keep Speaking Up and Taking Up Space. She believes this is the only way to overcome injustice.
